Opening Moves-

  • Improve relations with mongolia
  • Set Chagatai and Uzbek as rivals and embargo them
  • Ally Korchin (temporary, optional)
  • Don’t choose syncretic religion yet
  • Build spy network on Ming
  • Raise host from estate
  • Set army maintenance to 0
  • Stab up to +1 when possible, take new decisions

Dealing with Ming-

  • Wait till manpower is recovered to about 19k
  • Declare war using mandate of heaven CB
  • Find Ming army with their emperor, Qichen Zhu, as general
  • Defeat this army [Fires an event]
  • Beeline straight to Beijing and seige it [Fires another event]
  • Now just kill Ming armies while waiting for more war score
  • Take beijing, as many forts as possible, and all their money
  • Raze all provinces and core
  • Start annexing Mongolia
  • Choose confucian as syncretic faith
  • Embrace feudalism
  • Cancel alliance with Korchin
  • Truce break ming when cores are done
  • Unguarded nomadic frontier disaster could fire here
  • Take all their money and as many provinces as possible.
  • Raze and core all provinces
  • Truce break ming again when cores are done
  • Again take as many provinces as you can and their money
  • Buy down inflation slowly
  • Get some tributaries going
  • Declare on Ming when truce is over
  • Either full annex them or ensure no one else has borders with Ming
  • Don’t take mandate

Forming Yuan-

  • Get provinces you need to form Yuan
  • Full annex Korchin, Kara Del
  • Take provinces from Chagatai, Haixi
  • Get to 1000 dev by taking more provinces from Chinese breakaway nations, chagatai, uzbek, tibet region
  • Form Yuan and take their ideas

Yuan and beyond-

  • Keep following the mission tree
  • Own all of china to complete Back in Control Achievement
  • Form Mongol Empire

  • Diplo/influence
  • Economic
  • Quality

Oirat has a fairly strong start in 1.29 and forming Yuan is much easier. After forming Yuan its easy to roll over everyone around you with the strong idea set. Hope this little guide helps!
